sugar free recipes
There are many reason people have an interest in sugar free recipes. Obviously, losing weight is near the top of the list. Check out this statistic. On average, Americans eat 156lbs of sugar each year. That's per capita consumption and includes sugar already in the foods we eat, not just that additional sugar we put into our cereal, coffee, etc.
It's no wonder that the onset of type 2 diabetes is approaching epidemic proportions in the US. It is estimated that 18 million Americans have type 2 diabetes and another 5 million have it but don't know it. That should scare sugar lovers everywhere because diabetes is no joke and is an absolutely dreadful disease to live with.
Here's some hints to start on the path of a sugar free lifestyle (and being sugar free has to become a lifestyle, a habit to work).
1. Start by cutting out the extrasugar that you add to foods and drinks. Just look at labels. You're getting sugar in pretty much everything you eat anyway.
2. Switch to sugar free soda, if you're a soda drinker.
3. Research sugar free recipes on the internet. There is a ton (pardon the pun) of information out there on preparing food using sugar free recipes.
Here's a resource that I have found invaluable for switching to a sugar free diet.
